Back from a week of R&R in Aruba with recharged batteries. Knowing that I would not find a knitting store in Aruba, and fearful that I would run out of knitting, my carry-on bag was packed with at least 6 projects. Sleeping late, sitting by the pool knitting, fine dining and some blackjack is my idea of the perfect vacation.
So didn’t I get to do all of my projects – not quite but I did get a lot done. Here’s the finished ruffle dress sample for the store.
Then on to my favorite dress in the store – the little girl’s dress made out of Laurel from Schaefer. This is a gift for Lily, the granddaughter of a friend of my sister’s.
Bits and pieces of other projects – some baby hats for our Precious Purls charity project, the back of a baby sweater for my son’s friend having his first child, and the beginning of the Wellenbaktus for my sister.
All in all, I was pretty productive. I even took a Zumba class, walked along the beach and read a book (The Rabbi’s Daughter by Reva Mann). Now that my batteries are fully recharged, I’m back at the store and busy designing new things.
