Have you heard?

July 12, 2012

Have you heard? This summer for the first time we are open on Mondays from noon to 5. Stop by to shop or join us for one of our summer knit-alongs.

We are doing a knit-a-long from 12:30 to 1:30 of the Slouchy Kiri Hat made using one skein of Sabine from Juniper Moon Farms.

From 2:00 to 3:00, there is a crochet-a-long of Harvest Hands. These are fingerless mitts made from fingering yarn.

3:30 to 4:30 Knit-a-long with us on the Road Map Scarf.

Join us any Monday to get started on these projects. The summer is a great time to begin working on your holiday gifts. Audrey had already made the Harvest Hands as a gift and is planning on making another pair.

Stitch Red Blanket Project/Raffle

July 11, 2012

If you missed our Stitch Red event with Trisha Malcolm, then you might not know about our blanket project and raffle.

We are collecting 8″ squares made from Berroco Vintage, which will be put together to make afghans. We will then be selling raffle tickets for people to win the blankets. All of the money raised from the sale of the raffle tickets will be donated to The Heart Truth.

We are asking people to knit or crochet the 8″ squares in one of 4 colors of Berroco Vintage: in 5150 Berries (red), 5143 Dark Denim (blue), 5100 Snow Day(white) and 5107 Cracked Pepper (grey). If you stop by the shop, you can pick up a packet with all of the information and some pattern suggestions, or feel free to design your own as long as the squares are 8″ on each side.

Each skein of Vintage will make 3-4 squares. When you bring in your squares, you will receive a $5.00 gift certificate toward your next purchase as our way of saying thank you.

We will be collecting the squares until September 1st. Looking forward to seeing all the beautiful squares that everyone crafts!
